NOTES
Additional Information:Tax rolls indicate that this house was built by local builder Dom Schmit in 1901 and was sold shortly thereafter to Peter and Mary Federspiel. A 1900 directory lists Federspiel as a farmer; his 1913 obituary indicates that he was working at the local chair factory. Mary continued to live in the house with her son John and his wife Olivia. By 1922, John owned a hardware business which he stayed in until 1958 when he sold the business to his two sons. In 1957, John sold the house to his son Carl who continues to live at the subject residence.
