Additional Information: | This two story building originally consisted of a Queen Anne style corner tavern, built in 1892. Sometime between 1895 and 1910, the building was expanded to the east to include a one-story bowling alley. Elements of the original Queen Anne building form remain visible, including the polygonal corner turret, the shaped front gable, and a gabled oriel window in the west (26th St.) elevation. The building is currently clad in simulated masonry, with window lintels and arch voussoirs painted cream. The front (National Ave.) storefronts have been replaced with replacement bulkheads, large arched multi-light windows, and an arched solid entry door. Window openings remain in place on the remainder of the building, but most windows have been replaced or covered over. |
