It is a public record and may be viewed in person at the Wisconsin Historical Society, State Historic Preservation Office. 2 BASEMENT BARNS ON SQUARED SPLIT FIELDSTONE FOUNDATIONS VERTICAL BOARD SIDING* 2019: The Acker Farm is composed of the farmhouse and the barn. The farmhouse (#140598) is a two story, frame cross- gabled building finished with horizontal siding with an asphalt shingle roof built ca. 1895-1900. The entry is located on the front façade facing STH 20. Two additions to the house both on the west side, one on the front and one in the rear, both feature large picture windows. Smaller 1/1 sash windows are found around the façade of the house. A deck has been added to the rear west side of the house. Barn #1 (#10490) is side gabled and set on a raised fieldstone ashlar basement built in 1895. The barn is clad with vertical boards and features a center gable accented with an oculus with a quatrefoil motif. It is capped with a standing seam metal roof. |
