Additional Information: | RETURNED EAVES,STONE LINTELS CONVERTED TO HOUSE. District #3 School was built in 1866 and was one of five district schools that served the Town of Rochester in the late nineteenth century. It is the second school at this location. District #3 consisted of parts of sections 4,5,7,8,9 and 16 in the township. The school featured enrollment as high as fifty-five students and appeared on plat maps as a school into at least the 1930s. It since has been converted into a private residence.
