Additional Information: | Threatened with demolition in 2008 for a high-rise condominium. Resurveyed as part of Milwaukee Downtown Connector Arch/History Survey (2010), Prepared by Heritage Research. 2010: Eight stories tall, this brick-clad, Contemporary-style apartment building is T-shaped. The main (northwest) side is the only one to carry ornamentation, which consists of horizontal concrete bands on the first floor and five concrete vertical bands. Garage doors occupy the side facades while the apartment levels feature regularly place replacement casement and double-hung sashes. Designed by Francis J. Hinton, the Prospect Heights apartment building was constructed with 75 apartments in 1950. |
