ARCHITECTURAL SIGNIFICANCE:
This structure is a fine example of small 1920's commercial buildings. Of note is the use of terra-cotta on the ground floor.

2010: This three-story, Mediterranean Revival-style, brick building features a glazed terracotta first story with applied ornamentation, a round-arched central entrance with twisted columns and large replacement storefront windows. A bracketed, glazed terracotta cornice is located above the third-story windows. Fenestration consists of six-over-one, leaded, double-hung windows resting on glazed terracotta sills.

Constructed in 1925 for real estate developer Sol H. Ettenheim & Sons, this building contained two storefronts and eight apartments and was designed by Lindl, Lesser & Schutte. Early commercial tenants included a radio store, cleaners and a fruit and meat market.

Resurveyed as part of Milwaukee Downtown Connector Arch/History Survey (2010), Prepared by Heritage Research.
