Additional Information: | Jacob was the treasurer of the Racine Wagon and Carriage Co. He was 30 when he built the house and had three sons. TREFOIL MOTIF IN DORMER. STICKWORK IN POLYGONAL BAYS. DORIC PORCH W/ROUND PROJECTING CENTER AND DENTILLED EAVE. 2010: The Queen Anne house at 1805 College Ave was originally guilt in 1901 for Jocob C. Lund and his wife, Louise. The 1901 assessment on the lot was $400. The 1902 assessment with the new house was $3,500. Jacob was born in Norway in 1870 and came to the U.S. with his parents. He attended Racine public schools and, as a young man, took a position as an office boy with the Racine Wagon and Carriage company. The was gradually promoted and in 1899 was made treasurer of the company. |
