Additional Information: | This three bay cream brick commercial bulding is part of a fine group of six stores of similar scale and character. It is nearly identical to 1937-39 North 3rd Street. Its corbeled corncie with gablet and circular vent, arched windows and brickwork all represent the Italianate commercial style. The upper story is in its original configuration, but the windows have been boarded over. The street level has been extensively altered. Good example of a small three bay cream brick store with intact cornice and window surrounds. Gothic arched windows are unusual in commercial buildings. Locally designated district: 11/12/85. |
