NOTES
Additional Information:From at least 1932 through the 1970s, the Cambridge News newspaper company conducted its business and printing in the facility. During the newspaper's tenure on the premises, George Crump was perhaps the company's most prominent owner. He was born in the Deerfield Township in 1896 and, along with H.C. Stair, acquired the Cambridge News in 1926. Crump purchased Stair's share of the enterprise in 1935 and used th enewspaper to promote Cambridge until he sold the publication to Dwayne McLaughlin in 1960. Until Crump died in 1985, he continued to write columns for the News pertaining to Cambridge history. By the 1970s, the newspaper moved to 110 E Main Street. Various businesses have occupied the structure at different times thereafter, including a barber shop, real estate brokerage firm, ceramic store, and a boutique.
