MOVED FROM ORIGINAL SITE by the river to its present location in the MID 1870s by Arnold Robens. Jerome I. Case lived here from 1857-1863. As of 1866, Stephen Bull lived here. He was the chief executive of the Case Co. Then Reuben Doud lived here. He was mayor for several years. Robens, a local soap manufacturer, was the next owner. Alexander Horlick, manufacturer of malted milk, was the next owner. This building is called the "Lucky House" because people who have lived here have become successful and then moved to the prestigious S. Main St. area. |
