| Additional Information: | 4444 N. 25th Street is a Model 6D, "..a two-story, side gabled, side-entry cottage. The first story of the main elevation facing the street features a grouping of three sash windows surmounted with a Palladiain-like, semicircular wooden moulding. The seond story features two regularly-spaced bays of paired, double-hung windows. The main entry, located on the front half of the side elevation features a porch ..whose roof rests on groupings of three square wooden posts at each outside corner, and whose railing is composed of simple, rectangular wooden balusters.. The entry is balanced by a single double-hung window on the rear half of the elevation. Fenestration on the second floor consists of two, regularly-spaced double-hung windows. The other elevations are simply composed and feature randomly-placed windows that respond to interior needs." "The original stucco exterior has been covered with asphalt siding. The original gabled side porch has been enclosed, and the Palladian style hood molding over the front windows has been removed." (A). |
