Survay from 1983 says the Clapboards were an addition. - 1923? 1973: "This very picturesque house of Italianate design is one of the most beautiful in the Mount Sinai neighborhood. The original owner, Frederick Kraus was a carpenter. This building is one of twenty-three included in the Mount Sinai Historic Building Survey project of the summer of 1973. Alterations and Additions (as of 1973): Permit No. 31967, October 22, 1923 - to build a one-story addition to the rear of the house for owner Walter Spensley; estimated cost $500. |
