Charles H. Krause was the carpenter and Anthony & Edward Mauk were the mason-contractors of this building. Conrad Trimborn was the president of the Milwaukee Bridge Company. Prior to this, he was a building contractor who worked with C.H. Starck and Co.

1973: "Designed by the well known Milwaukee architects, Charles D. Crane and Carl Barkhausen, this apartment house of turn of the century style was originally owned by Conrad Trimborn, president of the Milwaukee Bridge Company. This building is one of twenty-three included in the Mount Sinai Buildings Survey project of the summer of 1973.

Alterations and Additions (as of 1973):
From the building permit records, the exterior of the house has remained essentially intact.
Numerous permits to alter the interior of the house are on file. Most of them, from 1937-1950, are for plumbing, electrical, or partition alterations to increase the number of apartments and sleeping rooms in the building."
