NOTES
Additional Information:A 'site file' exists for this property. It contains additional information such as correspondence, newspaper clippings, or historical information. It is a public record and may be viewed in person at the Wisconsin Historical Society, State Historic Preservation Office. Frank Krczymski was the builder.

Two story residential structure with multigable roof. Wood and shingle siding. Raised basement. Enclosed front entrance porch with gable roof. Abraham E. Housman and his wife, Julia, had three sons, Carl, Jules and Herbert. House was built by Frank Krczymski for the merchant tailor Abraham E. Housman. The house is a two story single family residential structure and the third floor attic space appeared to be at least partially completed as a servant’s quarters when it was built in 1903 (original plumbing for water and drain extends to a period porcelain wash basin sink in the attic). The house includes two staircases, one a grander residential staircase between the first and second floor, the second a more utilitarian staircase extending from the basement to the attic that could be fully shut off to the family spaces on the first and second floor.
