Additional Information: | A 'site file' exists for this property. It contains additional information such as correspondence, newspaper clippings, or historical information. It is a public record and may be viewed in person at the Wisconsin Historical Society, Division of Historic Preservation-Public History. The stone wall terracing along Corner Street was designed by University of Wisconsin professor of landscape architecture Franz Aust in 1935 and was built by local workers funded by the CWA in the same year. This work was also echoed in the stone work that was done at the same time on the Spring Creek streambed across the road in what is now Veterans Memorial Park. |
