NOTES
Additional Information:This one-story front-gabled building is sheathed on three sides with its original board-and-batten siding and rests on a fieldstone foundation; its roof is covered with asphalt shingles. The north (primary) facade features replacement sheathing of painted plywood on the lower portion and asphalt shingles on the upper. A historic-period wing addition projects from the rear facade. The structure is believed to have been constructed in the early 1850s to house Dr. Storrs Hall office and drug store/post office and was originally located at then-addressed 208 Town Line Road (across the road). The structure was purchased by C.E. McCumber and moved to its present location for use as a general store/post office. Chan Nellis next purchased it for use as a harness shop. Finally the Bluemke's purchased the building in 1965 after having used it for nearly forty years as a hardware storage facility. It continues in this use today.
