Originally constructed in 1876, by John Schoenrock, the building was leased in 1882 by Joachim Dassow and Charles Bitter. In 1898 Dassow bought the building from Schoenrock, moved it to its current location (original location and been at the SW corner of CTH O & Meadowlark Rd.)Although the second floor of the structure was constantly maintained for living quarters, the entire structure was converted to a residence in 1957.
