NOTES
Additional Information:A 'site file' exists for this property. It contains additional information such as correspondence, newspaper clippings, or historical information. It is a public record and may be viewed in person at the Wisconsin Historical Society, State Historic Preservation Office. This church is one of the best examples of Brutalism in the city. A demolition permit for 4/11/2011 has been applied for. The property was demolished in March, 2016. "This chapel is a renovation of an original 1909 Neo-Gothic church. The resulting interior is a dramatic contrast to the original basilican plan. A central altar is the focal point of a seating arrangement which allows the congregation to readily view and participate in the mass. The contemporary facade blends well with the original exterior walls." A Celebration of Architecture: Wisconsin Society of Architects Tour of Significant Architecture, 1979.
