NOTES
Additional Information:This structure is a good example of a small commercial building constructed in the Spanish Colonial Revival. It is in original condition with minor alterations to the ground floor.

2010: Constructed in the Spanish Colonial Revival style in 1926, this long building features at least seven commercial spaces on the first floor and two stories of apartments. The main (north) elevation is defined by large shaped parapet at the center flanked by four rows of barrel-tile roofing. Heavy brick piers appear at the corners and project into the parapet. They are adorned with embedded stone spiral columns. The first-floor storefronts are modernized and feature a facade-length canvas awning. Apartment-level fenestration consists of tripartite arrangements of double-hung sashes flanked by eight-pane casement windows, as well as paired casement windows and single double-hung sashes.

This combined commercial and apartment block was built in 1926. Businesses that occupied it between the time of construction and 1962 include a bakery, shoe repair business, grocery store, restaurant and liquor store.

Resurveyed as part of Milwaukee Downtown Connector Arch/History Survey (2010), Prepared by Heritage Research.
