COMPANY NO. 3 WAS ONE OF TWO VOLUNTEER COMPANIES FORMED IN 1849 TO INCREASE FIRE PROTECTION. ENGINE COMPANY NO.3 WAS COMPOSED ALMOST ENTIRELY OF WELSH IMMIGRANT. THEY MOVED INTO THIS FIREHOUSE IN 1881.
