| Additional Information: | Hunzinger Construction Co. was the builder. Skidmore, Owings & Merrill was the engineer. Last surveyed in 1984 with a map code of 137/31 on map 393. No update card was necessary for 2004. Resurveyed as part of Milwaukee Downtown Connector Arch/History Survey (2010), Prepared by Heritage Research. 2010: This unique, two-story, Contemporary-style building simply consists of smaller first-floor block supporting a significantly larger second-floor block. The second floor significantly overhangs the first block on all sides. The walls are covered with a pebbledash finish and the second level is devoid of fenestration. Constructed in 1961, this building was designed by Von Grossman, Inc. and the engineers were Skidmore, Owings & Merrill. It was constructed by the Hunzinger Construction Company. |
