| Additional Information: | 1999- "This two-story cream colored brick early twentieth century vernacular commercial building was built in 1911. It has a decorative brick cornice and a cornice stone dated 1911. The building's first story has been altered: the storefront window expanse has been filled in with panel siding. The centrally located double entry doors are original to the building. The building has a large concrete porch with a wide concrete stairway and a modern wrought iron railing. Second-story windows are original one-over-one double hung sash, but are flanked by new shutters. Historically known as the Ritger furniture store, this building also served as a funeral home until 1936." -"Allenton 7.5, Washington Co.", WisDOT#1412-02-00, Prepared by Mead & Hunt, Inc., (1999). |
