Additional Information:Architectural Statement: Two-and-one-half story Neo-classical style house.

Historical Statement: Built in about 1905 for William H. Stephenson, vice president of the Janesville Clothing Company. He lived here until 1923.

"The Stephenson house is representative of the largest and most expensive single-family housing constructed after the turn of the [twentieth] century. The Colonial Revival design includes a Palladian window in the front gable, and a classical porch carried by columns with Ionic capitals. Stephenson was Vice-President of the Janesville Clothing Company and lived here until 1923."
