| Additional Information: | ARCHITECTURAL SIGNIFICANCE: This structure is representative of early 20th century commercial buildings with apartments above. Construction date, 1903. (1) A. Schmitt, Mason. (2) C.S. Klepper, Builder. (2) J. Comeford, Owner, 1903. (2) Original permit lists J. Comeford as a "commercial traveler". One-story addition on rear elevation constructed in 1922. Early business tenants included a furniture and drapery store, ladies dress store, lunch counter, and tavern. By 1934 the property was owned by Schlitz Brewing Company. Previously surveyed in 1979 with map code 45/23. Map name was LUQS 315. |
