| Additional Information: | A former proprietor of the nearby Hanson Brothers Pub (formerly the North Lake Brewery [see 151/19]) once occupied this house (source: Tax rolls). REC said NE on 12/11/2002. 2025: Two-story, rectangular-plan side-gabled structure with an asphalt-shingled roof, stone foundation, and horizontal wood clapboard siding. The façade includes a full-width front porch under a hipped asphalt-shingled roof, supported by turned wood posts with decorative scroll-sawn brackets and frieze, plus lattice skirting. The centered main entrance is flanked by one-over-one windows, with an oculus window above the porch below the roofline. A one-story ell extends from the rear under a side-gable roof, featuring a shed-roof extension over an enclosed porch with two-over-two windows. Fenestration elsewhere consists of one-over-one windows. Since last survey, the house has new siding, new windows, removal of shutters, and removal of the chimney. |
