Architectural Statement:
This two and one half story house has a hip roof with dormers, symmetrical front facade, a full front porch with tapered posts, and an exterior chimney. The 1975 inventory card indicates that the house was extensively remodeled in the 1920s. The remodeling has obscured any resemblance to the original 1870s house.

Historical Statement:
According to the 1975 inventory card this house was built in the 1870s and extensively remodeled in the 1920s. In the early 1900s the house was owned by Frank Douglas, owner of a hardware store.
