Additional Information: | ARCHITECTURAL SIGNIFICANCE: Red brick Colonial Revival apartments with full portico in the Ionic order. Construction date, 1911. (1) Rheinhold Goriling, Carpenter. (1) Rheinhold Goriling, Mason. (1) Rheinhold Goriling, Owner, 1911. (1) 2021: This two-story Neoclassical style apartment building was constructed in 1912. It is clad in brick with stone stringcourses, sills, and lintels, and has a painted wood classical cornice. A two story portico on the front elevation contains Ionic columns and pilasters set on low brick bases; several of the column capitals are severely deteriorated. A balcony with classical balustrade is located within the portico, and the porch is capped with a flat roof with classical entablature. The apartment building appears to retain several of its original four-panel entry doors with fanlights, but most of the one-over-one double hung windows appear to be modern replacements. |
