NOTES
Additional Information:Historic name interpreted from historic plats. Other buildings include garage/shed (AHI 117738) and silo.

This house rests on a raised, fieldstone foundation that has been partially covered with concrete. A louvered fanlight opening accentuates the peak on the facade. Many of the other windows are decorated with raised, wooden, shouldered surrounds. Similar trim accents a single entry centered within the facade. The entry is sheltered by a partially enclosed, hip-roof porch that extends the full width of the front. Rounded wooden posts support the west end of the unadorned, one-story porch, while the east end consists of a relatively modern, clapboard-sheathed enclosure with a metal-framed sash. The porch deck rests on what appear to be stone piers. The large front windows of the second level were infilled with brick.

An 1873 plat indicates that the farmhouse was part of a 120-acre farmstead operated by A, Miller; an 1878 map denotes Miller was a Major. Miller was a farmer and graded stock breeder who had owned the land as early as 1860. But by 1910, Emil Kreuzinger maintained the farm, which still operated 120 acres. Kreuzinger continued to operate the farm until at least 1947.
