NOTES
Additional Information:EIS #87-0052. This triangular building is constructed of brick (painted) and consists of two stories. Stone belt courses surround the building and flow into a slight pediment over the corner entrance. Bands of recessed squares form a distinctive pattern above the second floor windows. This building was erected in 1888 by the Jones and Frentz Abstract Co. It has been continuously used in that capacity ever since and the Schmitt firm is a corporate descendent of Jones & Frentz. The firm itself is listed in the Stringham Building in the 1880 directory indicating that the firm has been in continuous service to the city for more than a century.
