Paul Noe hired architect Alfred C. Clas in 1888 to design this building for his meat market business. Noe and his family lived in the upstairs quarters while he operated his meat market until at least 1935. By 1940, his son Hiram had taken over the business and stayed there until around 1950. The building was the site of Dennis Pavloich’s flower shop in 1960.
