South Side Historic District Walking Tour Guide, 1993: In November of 1895, S.C.Johnson and his son Herbert Fisk, each bought a parcel of land on the east side of Wisconsin Ave. Herbert was married the following year to Helen Converse and two years later they built this house. Herbert died relatively young in 1928. His widow, "Nellie," lived here until she died fourteen years later. |
