Additional Information:04/28/15: The First Presbyterian Church was erected in this location in 1881, but burned down in 1885. A new church was erected by late summer and it too burned in October of 1923. In 1924, the present structure was built.

Original cost of construction was $77,000.

"The church was built in cruciform shape of reddish brown brick. The arched window openings still retain their original stained-glass windows.
