Additional Information:August 2000-The McCleary Bridge carries CTH N/Rib Mountain Drive over the Rib River in the Rib Mountain Township. It is a two-lane, steel girder structure with a concrete deck. According to records found in the Wisconsin DOT Central Office, the McCleary Bridge was built in 1930, is 702 feet long and has a clear roadway width of 23.7 feet. The McCleary Bridge is composed of 18 spans, each span 39 feet long, resting on concrete piers. In 1952, a four-foot, wood sidewalk was attached to the west side of the bridge. The deck was resurfaced and widened in 1976. The existing beam guardrails are not original and may also date from 1976.
