Previously surveyed in 1998.

The building is said to have originally served as a feed store. It then housed a photography studio before being converted to a barbershop for Frank Schmitt in 1908. Schmitt was succeeded by his son, John, who operated the barbershop until fire damaged the building in 1993. The Schmitt family occupied the building until 1993.
