Additional Information: | A 'site file' exists for this property. It contains additional information such as correspondence, newspaper clippings, or historical information. It is a public record and may be viewed in person at the Wisconsin Historical Society, Division of Historic Preservation. 2000- Bridge is 1,189 feet long and has a clear roadway width of 48 feet. Eleven spans comprise the bridge. Five are steel girder spans and six are Warren overhead trusses, each about 152 feet long. A seven-foot sidewalk runs alongside the southbound lane. In 1970, the vertical clearance was raised from 14 feet to nearly 16 feet. A new deck was laid in 1979. This bridge is a good example of a Warren overhead truss bridge. However, the raised vertical clearance compromises its integrity making it ineleigible for the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP). Bridge replaced in 2009. |
