Additional Information: | 2000- This 1 1/2-story frame construction, Gabled Ell house appears to have been builtca. 1870. It is set on a fieldstone foundation, displays clapboard and wood shingle finishes, and is topped with asphalt-shingled roof sections. The house is trimmed with narrow corner boards and broad cornice boards. It had a porch across the main facade which has been replaced by a concrete block raised terrace with a wood ballustrade. the 1-over-1 windows are replacements. The house is a modest example of a vernacular form. Alterations - asphalt shingles, 1-over-1 windows and a raised terrace - compromise its architectural and historical integrity. No historic significance was found during the survey for the 2000 WisDOT project. A formal Determination of Eligibilty (DOE) was not recommended. |
