Additional Information: | 2015- "This two-and-one-half-story Tudor Revival house was constructed in 1928. It has a rectangular footprint that is enlarged by a one story entrance pavilion on the facade. The entrance pavilion has a front gable roof with cornice returns. It features a partially glazed wood door and an arched window opening, presently boarded over, within the gable. The door is flanked by a pair of copper sconces and letter boxes. It opens onto a small concrete porch that is wrapped by a wrought iron railing. The roof of the house is comprised of two intersecting gables. A side-gable is positioned at the front of the house, and a cross gable intersects at its rear. A shed dormer spans the south slope of the rear cross gable, and another shed dormer spans nearly the full width of the facade. A pent roof divides the first and second stories on the side elevations; within the pent roof on the south elevation is a shallow balcony, defined by a small wood balustrade. The roof is sheathed in asphalt shingles, while the dormers and second story walls are clad in wood shingles. The first story and foundation are clad in brick. The facade fenestration pattern is somewhat irregular. The first story has two six-over-one wood sashes, with flower boxes below. The second story dormer windows are one-over-one vinyl sashes. Three larger windows are unevenly spaced south of the pavilion, and one smaller window is placed north of it." - "Washington Ave (STH 20), Roosevelt Ave to West Blvd", WISDot #2440-09-00, Prepared by Shelley Greene (2015). |
