Additional Information: | 2015- "This two-story American Foursquare house was constructed in 1912. It has rectangular footprint and a one story open porch that spans the width of the facade. The porch has a flat roof which is supported by brick posts. The porch deck is encircled by a brick and stucco knee wall. Modern stone steps extend down from the porch entrance to the sidewalk. The house itself has a hipped with paired cross gables on the facade. The roof is sheathed in asphalt shingles and a slender brick chimney stack rises from its center. Nearly all of the house is clad in a striking yellow brick, except the roof gabvle walls which are clad in weather siding. Most of the windows are one-over-one, double-hung, and are capped by brick lintels on the first story. The facade first story fenestration includes an off-center door, with a singly placed window to its north, and a canted bay window to its south. The canted bay window has a fixed single-light window at its center, flanked by double hung sashes. The second story has two pairs of double-hung windows." - "Washington Ave (STH 20), Roosevelt Ave to West Blvd", WISDot #2440-09-00, Prepared by Shelley Greene (2015). |
