First floor interior layout and wood trim intact. 2015- "This two-story, brick American Foursquare house was constructed in 1914. It has a rectilinear footprint that is enlarged by a one story open porch across the facade, a rear two story addition, a stairwell addition on the east elevation. The front porch has a flat roof with wide eaves that is supported by wood posts atop brick piers. Between the posts on the porch deck are modern wood railings, and a run of stairs centered on the porch serves as the main entrance to the building. The rear addition has a shed roof, and a stairwell catslide that follows the slope of the interior stairs. Both additions are clad in vinyl siding. The stairwell is entered by a modern paneled door on the north elevation. The house itself has a hip roof with hip dormer on the facade slope. The roof surfaces are sheathed in asphalt shingles. The exterior walls of the house are clad in brick. There are multiple fenestration types present on the building. The primary entrance is centered under the porch on the fa9ade's first story. It is an added vestibule with glazed doors that projects from the face of the building. On either side of the entrance are large wood framed windows, one-over-one in form with the top light smaller than the bottom. The second story windows are one-over-one vinyl sashes, arranged in two pairs. The dormer windows are small with single lights." - "Washington Ave (STH 20), Roosevelt Ave to West Blvd", WISDot #2440-09-00, Prepared by Shelley Greene (2015). |
