Resurveyed 2015. 2015- "This two-story cube house was constructed in 1924. It has a rectilinear footprint that is expanded by a two story porch structure on the facade. The first story of the porch stretches the full width of the facade. Its deck is encircled by a railing that extends to the ground level, and the southeast corner is punctuated by a wooden post topped by a globe light fixture. The second story of the porch only occupies the west half of the facade. It has a hip roof that is supported by heavy brick posts, between which are strings of windows that rest on clapboard sheathed knee walls. The roof of the house is hipped, and clad in asphalt shingles. The exterior walls of the house are sheathed in aluminum siding, and the foundation is brick. There is a variety of fenestration types present on the duplex. The windows on the second story enclosed porch are one-over-one vinyl sashes. Under the porch, on the first story, such a window is present between two pedestrian doors. The window and west door are slightly recessed from the face of the building. The doors are wood paneled and pmiially glazed. The east half of the facade has matching window arrangements on the first and second stories. The windows are three-over-one wood sashes placed in a string of three; the first story string is sheltered by a fabric awning." - "Washington Ave (STH 20), Roosevelt Ave to West Blvd", WISDot #2440-09-00, Prepared by Shelley Greene (2015). |
