Additional Information: | A 'site file' titled "Washington Avenue Residential Historic District" exists for this property. It contains additional information such as correspondence, newspaper clippings, or historical information. It is a public record and may be viewed in person at the Wisconsin Historical Society, State Historic Preservation Office. Resurveyed 2015. 2015- "This two-story, brick American Foursquare house was constructed in 1922. It has a rectilinear footprint that has been expanded by a one story porch stretched across the width of the facade. The west section of the porch is enclosed, and the east section is open. The porch roof is half hipped and supported by brick posts. The porch deck is encircled by brick knee walls. The open section of the porch has a run of stairs incorporated into the porch footprint; it leads to the house's main entrance. The house roof is hipped; it is pierced by a hip dormer on the facade slope, and by a brick chimney stack on the west elevation. The roof slopes are sheathed in asphalt shingles, and the exterior walls and foundation of the house are brick. Windows on the house are vinyl double hung units; on the enclosed porch these are nine-over-one in form." - "Washington Ave (STH 20), Roosevelt Ave to West Blvd", WISDot #2440-09-00, Prepared by Shelley Greene (2015). |
