NOTES
Additional Information:2000/2001

As early as 1862, Edgar Haviland (also noted as Haveland) owned an 80-acre farmstead at this location and it is he who is believed to have built this structure. According to historic plat maps, he owned this property until 1889. By 1902, the parcel had passed to J.B. Hughes; however, Charles Krahn obtained ownership just fourteen years later. The house remained in the Krahn family until at leat 1941.

No further information was found to suggest potential eligibility under either Criterion A or B. Admittedly, the main block of the ell exhibits Greek Revival styling through its cornice returns and corner pilasters; however, the later ell addition is unadorned. The combination of these two components results in a simple gabled ell structure, a building form common to Wisconsin. As a result, eligibility under Criterion C is not viable.
