Additional Information: | January 2002-This modern, one-story, brick automobile showroom was constructed c. 1950. It rests on a concrete foundation, with a flat roof. The building displays minimal architectural details. The central front entrance is emphasized with a brick pediment and glass block surrounding the door. A curved corner display window is located on the east corner of the front façade that has been downsized with concrete block. A service entrance and a full-length display window are located west of the entrance. An additional service entrance and industrial windows are located on the west façade. The brick on the building has been painted. Statement of Significance: This property was evaluated for the NRHP under Criterion C. The building is a modest example of a mid-twentieth century automobile showroom and exhibits some alterations. It lacks sufficient architectural interest to qualify for listing on the NRHP under Criterion C. No evidence was found to suggest that the building qualifies for the NRHP under Criterion A or B. A DOE is not recommended. |
