Additional Information: | November 2001-This two-story frame vernacular house sits on a concrete block foundation and appears to have been built c. 1905. It is clad with narrow clapboards, trimmed with plain cornice and corner boards and displays 1/1 windows and a hip roof surfaced with asphalt shingles. A gabled, two-story section projects slightly from the west-facing (front) façade. The west-facing gable end displays returned eaves, wood shingles, and three small windows grouped in a Palladian motif (except that the center window is flat-arched). The full-façade, hip-roofed front porch has Doric columns and is enclosed with paneled wood rails and modern, 1/1 windows. This house is nearly identical to the one at 414 North High Street. |
