Additional Information: | 2000- "The Heggery Farmstead is comprised of a metal-covered gambrel roofed barn, a shed, a 1940s house and a new garage. The frame bam is covered by stamped metal to resemble a rock-face stone pattern. This early 20th centuty barm was covered by metal siding in 1930. A small metal gable-roofed granny on the east side of the barm is also covered by stamped metal siding. This Cape Cod Colonial Revival style farmhouse, constructed in 1941, is a well preserved but undistinguished example of its type. The 60-acre Heggety farm was purchased by Alfred and Clara Heggety in 1923 from George Waller. Presently, the Heggery farmstead is used for residential purposes (Heggety, Interview, 1993; Ogle, 1919)." -"Muscoda, Blue River, Boscobel, WI", WisDOT#5190-06-00, Prepared by Joan Rausch (Architectural Resources, Inc.), (2000). |
