The vernacular Mc Kittrick house is characterized by the cubic shape, arched windows and low pitched roof is associated with the Italianate style. This house was built for John McKittrick, who was employed as janitor of the Vernon County Courthouse. His wife Jane served meals to roomers and others. The McKittricks, who came from Ohio, lived in this house until 1928 when they sold to B.O. Dahl. In 1968, it was sold to Larry Sieger, Attorney at Law. |
