Additional Information: | SQUARE CNR TOWER WITH MANSARD ROOF AND METAL DECORATION RICHLY DECORATED WITH BARGEBOARDS, WINDOW MOLDINGS AND PORCH. SOME STICK STYLE INFLUENCE. MANY HISTORIC ADDITIONS AT REAR. ERNST KNOWN IN TOWN AS FANCYWORK CARPENTER WHO CAME FROM GERMANY [Date Cnst:(A)] Theodore Ernst, a German-born carpenter, was responsible for much of the gingerbread trim on Bayfield houses. The builder made several additions to the rear of the house over the years, enabling him to reach his cow barn and carpenter shop wihtout having to face the elements.
