Additional Information:MOULDED BRACKETED EAVES. RUSTICATED HEAVY STONE SILLS AND LINTELS. UNALTERED 1ST FLR W/FULL TRANSOM AND CNR PILASTER MOTIF. CONTINUOUS TRANSOM ACROSS STORE FRONT.

This building was built in 1907 by William Kortendick from the remnants of an earlier building partially destroyed by fire in 1898. Kortendick was able to salvage the original stone sidewalls while he added a new storefront and a second story. His son, Lawrence, operated the Kortendick Market & Grocery in the building into the 1920s.
