NOTES
Additional Information:This house contributes to the proposed Jefferson Avenue Historic District as a compact, late example of the Queen Anne style. The house has a basic square form with a projecting gable and compact corner tower reflecting the Queen Anne style.

Mortimer Knox was the son of Henry and Susan Knox (203 Jefferson). In 1905 Mortimer listed his occupation as a carpenter with Knox and Hazen, but he does not appear to have remained in Janesville much longer.
