Additional Information: | Resurveyed January 2017. This 2-story vernacular building was constructed in 1888 as the Mammoth Springs Hotel and Saloon. The building is rectangular in plan with aluminum and stone veneer siding and an asphalt-shingled multi-gable roof. All windows and doors are modern replacements and a large addition with a second-story deck area has been constructed off of the east elevation; the north elevation has been extended via a large gable-roofed wing. The building is in good condition, but retains a relatively low degree of integrity due to the application of aluminum and stone veneer siding, insensitive new windows and doors, a series of additions, and the relocation of the entrance from the south to the east elevation. |
